A last thought at the beach
A flower a beach the sea that sparkles in the air.
The sun is burning gently on my skin. It’s late in the afternoon.
I sit with my back touching a rock and look out at the sea that sparkle in front of me. Listen to the waves and just settle down and enjoy it.
With a manuscript in my hand sitting with my foot in the sand playing while I hear all the sounds around me.
Kids are laughing, kids that are weeping, Parents that talk and drinking lemonade or coffee. Some small tone of voice I hear about the children that they should keep next to their parents and not jog around.
Boats, ships and luxury sailing boats departure and enter a bit farther away, some of the guests on the beach are having fun playing with some smaller boats another windsurfs.
A father playing with his son with a ball down at the end of the beach just by the water. The boy is about 2 years of age and he is laughing and has a great time with his father.
A bit more in distant I hear two adults fighting about a coffeepot that they can’t close.
A young girl is running next to me and I get a lot of sand on my blanket but it doesn’t matter.
I go on reading my manuscript, playing with my feat in the sand look out towards the sparkling water hear the sound of the waves and just have a good time.
At this time they are allowed to yell, scream, fight as much as they please. I don’t hear it.
This is something that pleases me. Life, water, sand, sun, summer, relaxing.
I am there until sundown. As many have gone home I am still here with hardly any left on the beach just walking their dogs or relax like me.
An elder couple are sitting just like me down by the end of the beach and hold each other tight. That is so nice to see love that still is there.
A Master with his dog is throwing a ball to his dog. Two youth hold hands while they look at my direction and wave to me without knowing me. I wave back to them and smiling.
I hear a Radio soft in the background playing typical summer music.
A sailing boat is approaching with a tourist that probably is going to the harbour.
I am picking up my manuscript and blanket just feeling good about myself.
Because is there something more beautiful than sitting by the beach and just enjoy all the sounds and sparkling in the water and everybody you see in these situations.
I have the last day of the summer I leave to my car start it and get ready to go home the last day of the summer.
Next year I will be back again.
